JUVENILE CORRECTIONS OFFICER

Activities associated with the job include assisting with the intake, processing and incarceration of juveniles and placing them in the most appropriate level of confinement. Additional duties include the preparing incident reports, monitoring the activities of juvenile inmates and consulting with supervisory staff on a variety of operational issues. Job related duties require experience working with troubled youth, some knowledge of the judicial system as it applies to juvenile corrections and good organizational, interpersonal and decision-making skills. PART-TIME MEDICOLEGAL DEATH INVESTIGATOR
Sevier County government is accepting applications for the position of a Part Time Medicolegal Death Investigator. Job related duties include assisting law enforcement personnel in death scene investigations, pronouncing the deceased in the field and transporting and storing those who have not made arrangements with a local funeral home. Additional activities include ordering investigative procedures, notifying the next of kin, coordinating the completion of Death Certificates and maintaining complete records of deaths investigated throughout Sevier County. Activities associated with the job require licensure as an advanced emergency medical technician, paramedic, registered nurse or physician's assistant with the State of Tennessee OR registration as a diplomate of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators.
