The Sevier County Election Commission will meet on Thursday, April 9 at 4 p.m. In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 16 regarding limiting gatherings to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and allowing public meetings to be conducted by electronic means, the meeting will be conducted with commissioners participating electronically. Meeting electronically and limiting public access to the meeting is necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare in light of COVID-19. We hope to return to in-person meetings as soon as possible.
A recording of the meeting will be available within 48 hours of the completion for those wanting a copy.

Public access to Sevier County Government buildings and offices will be restricted effective April 6, 2020 through April 14, 2020.
Buildings that house county offices, including the courthouse, election office, jails, probation, public works, sheriff’s office, and veteran’s service are limiting in-person services. County government will continue to operate and employees are continuing to report to work. Normal business hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call the department you need to do business with directly and make an appointment only if the business is essential and time-sensitive. Passport applications will be suspended at the county clerk’s office through April 14, 2020. Vehicle tag renewals should be conducted using the drive-through behind the sheriff’s office on Bruce Street.
The Sevier Animal Care Center, county libraries, My People Senior Activity Center and the University of Tennessee Agriculture Extension Agency remain closed to the public. Convenience centers will remain open.
The Sevier County Courthouse, government offices, convenience centers and Sheriff’s Department administrative offices will be closed on Friday, April 10, for the Good Friday holiday.
Convenience centers will open at normal times on Saturday, April 11. The other offices will open at normal times on Monday, April 13.
The Sevier County Clerk drive-through window located behind the sheriff’s office on Bruce Street is now open. Construction is still ongoing on Bruce Street, so access may be limited.
The clerk’s satellite offices in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are temporarily closing. Gatlinburg normally operates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Pigeon Forge normally operates on Saturdays.
