​CORRECTIONS OFFICER

Sevier County is accepting applications for the position of Corrections Officer.  Job related duties include assisting with intake activities, monitoring individuals placed in custody, assisting with delivering meals and maintaining records of inmates’ emotional and medical status.  Job related duties require experience working in a correctional and/or juvenile detention facility, good organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills and sufficient strength and agility to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job and respond adequately to situations encountered on the job. This position requires the applicant to be available to work rotating shifts and the flexibility to cover other shifts in the event of absences or other unforeseen circumstances including occasional weekends and Holidays.  Interested parties must submit a Sevier County Sheriff Department job application.  Sevier County offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Part Time Judicial Commissioner
 
Sevier County is accepting applications for the position of a Part Time Judicial Commissioner.  Job related duties include assisting with the issuance of arrest warrants, search warrants, failure to appear warrants, summons, etc., setting bonds for individuals in custody and assisting with General Sessions and Circuit Court operations.  Job related duties require considerable knowledge of the procedures involved in the issuance of warrants, orders of protection, citations, etc. for individuals suspected of criminal activity and the legal processes and protocols associated with criminal and civil cases coming before the court.  This position requires the applicant to be a resident of Sevier County, available for a variety of shifts including evenings and the flexibility to cover other shifts in the event of absences or other unforeseen circumstances including occasional weekends and Holidays.  Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.
